Making a Youtube Downloader

Because whenever I go to download ANYTHING I am always having to fight 4000 ads (until I finally get around to installing pihole), 15000 viruses and then I still get limited to some shoddy 720p video or some awful audio quality

So I had enough

And recently I found out about a little github repo called yt-dlp , and it has allowed me (with the help of claude code) to create a simple, lightweight, rapid fast youtube downloader that doesnt stop you from downloading songs, or, anything as a matter of fact!

It started with just a simple claude prompt and has now developed, very quickly, into a fully fledged GUI app

I have two versions made, a CLI version and then a GUI version for either Silicon or Intel Macs. The reason I have them bundled seperately is because the silicon one is much lighterweight as it is only 70MB compared to the gargantuan 250MB of the intel one.
